Greetings Y'all and welcome to the official blog of The Tattered Hydrangea. This is my first attempt at writing a blog, starting a business etc. so please read this with the understanding that everything I do is different. This blog will follow suit and most certainly be different! The Blog Series: Humble Beginnings will take you on my journey of searching for an office space, decorating/assembling furniture, my thought process throughout and much more. Let's go!!!
So, now that the vision of starting the non profit had become a reality, it was time to look for office space. Geesh! After speaking with several properties, I narrowed down to two locations offered from Boxer Properties who has several locations throughout the metroplex. Office location one was 8204 Elmbrook (see below), really cute, nice space but the location was a bit further than I was interested in driving-it's over by Lovefield Y'all. So ❌...
The second location had two office spaces that I was interested in with price being a major factor. 1801 N Hampton Rd located in the Inwood National Bank building, Desoto Texas. The first office I looked at was cute, see below, however; not for me. So❌...
💜By the way, that's my ride or die in the video, my Mom.💜
Suite 460, the space I fell in love with which I now call my Humble Office Beginnings. 😍
To see more, come visit. By appointment only though, I still work a day job, lol.
I'm Eulalia Jackson, President of The Tattered Hydrangea, a non profit obsessed with providing essential items to domestic abuse survivors. As a child I remember my grandmother, mother and countless stories of my grandfather doing God's work - helping those in need. Very early on I realized my calling was also to help others by doing the most good with whatever resources were at my disposal at the time. But enough about me, that blog will come much later...
Thank you for taking the time to read the first installment of my blog. The frequency of the blogs are TBD because, y'all I still work a day job, lol. I pray that you will find my determination, humor and stick-to-itiveness throughout each blog and everything presented to you from The Tattered Hydrangea. You are important to us and we are important to those survivors in need...
Thank you again for your time. Y'all come back now...
